Does Working Out Or Deep Breathing Help Improve Blood Oxygen Numbers? My Numbers Were Improving, And Now They Have Dropped Again.

Sounds like a good plan @A MyCOPDTeam Member! I walk @2-3 miles daily (mostly with my dog on conservation trails) and stretching and free weights. Good job and take care!!😀 John Wedns Noon

Yes, exercise is what keeps your body exchanging more oxygen. That is why it is important to get back to exercise as soon as you can after getting over a flare up.
I split mine up. I some in the morning, I take a walk after that, then In the evening a do a small set of exercises.

Thanks for this answer! I have noticed some difference in how I feel from day to day too. I'm trying to do two short workouts a day. Hope you can get back to your workouts soon. 😀

@A MyCOPDTeam Member For the 3+ weeks I haven't been able to exercise due to my hand, I'm feeling the difference also. Exercise is Key i'm pretty sure....

You don't have to go outside to exercise. There is a lot you can do in your house even in a chair. Every time we have a flare up it takes a little longer to get back to normal. Take your time it will gradually improve. I pay attention to the humidity and air quality before I go outside and limit my outside time if either are too high or bad for me. I also keep a dehumidifier going inside the house to keep it easier to breathe.
