Hi Sandy. During a PR session years ago, I recall most activities focusing on building strength in the chest muscles. Before the seated rowing machine and the articulating bicycle, the most popular device was a Tabletop Arm Rowing machine. If course, you should check with your Doc, but here is an article showing someone adapting a floor-model pedalling machine into a Chest-height unit to accomplish the same purpose: https://yosudabikes.com/products/yosuda-magneti...
The amount of resistance can still be modified, of course.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member SOB happens to me every day, I just Blow it off. If I walk Kaiko in the mornings w/o o2, it drops to low for me upper 80's. Wearing the tank keeps me around 94+ I get gassed bringing the Groceries up from the car and I have a Elevator lol. I just do it IDC, just relax and catch my breath and continue, COPD can Kiss My A__ lol

I've been through pulmonary rehab twice and found it helpful. I now do breathing and physical exercises on YouTube and joined the local health club which is affiliated with our hospital. If you Google breathing exercises you will find many different options along with strength exercises for seniors. I use Mike Kutcher and find his videos very good. WallyMac

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, I live in a 3 story house, so I know your dilemma first hand. I take 1 step sometimes 2 up hanging on to the rail as a help aid then I stop and rest to get my wind back then another step or 2. The object is the next level , not the time it takes to get their. Its not a perfect solution but it works.
