I Was Getting A Lot Shorter Of Breath And Very Tired In A Very Short Time. My Heart Doctor Thought It Was My Heart And Said I Needed Bypass
Three months after my bypass surgery I am not any better, if anything I am worse. Has anyone else had this experience?
I am in cardiac rehab now and went thru pulmonary rehab 3 years ago. So far it hasn’t helped. I’ll keep trying
Thinking about you and fully understand. COPD here also and on antidepressants which seems to help
Yes. They mentioned congestive heart failure and have me on 4 cups(32 oz) of liquid each day. Still no improvement. I am going to my lung doctor in about 4 weeks and hope he has an answer. I am worse now than before I had my bypass surgery. If I only had a little hope of getting better would help.
Hello Mike. I have not had that experience but would ask if your Doc(s) have suggested enrolling you any Cardiac Rehab therapy sessions? Similar to Respiratory Therapy, these supervised "activities" would give data points about any lingering and potential areas of concern after the surgery.
You will be attached to monitors which record a full range of heart, breathing and oxygen levels. Some insurance plans push back on this (due to costs) so your Doc may have to go to bat for you. The benefit for to you is to increase your endurance and tolerance for 'Breathing-thru" day to day activities.
be Well.
Thanks for the info. It sounds like we have the same problems. I am 77 and I would not have another surgery. I guess it is something we have to live with and have faith that we can endure.
