Hi, Mel - yes, I've been using the pursed lip type of breathing for years now. I do it mainly in the morning and then again in the evening. Also at other times when I may need it. This also seems to help when I get a panic attack in the early mornings and feel as though I can't breathe at all.

Hi @A MyCOPDTeam Member, yes shallow breathing is part of COPD unfortunately. Have you tried pursed lips breathing or box breathing? There are how to videos. On YouTube to help if need. Best of luck

I shouldn't assume but I have shallow breathing & figured it was due to COPD I know the SOB is a definite symptom. Take it slow & easy.
