I also have severe COPD and as long as I turn my oxygen up to 8 I can walk on the treadmill till I get tired. I started out with 5 minutes and the longest I have gone was 30 minutes.

Do what ya can little by little step by step. Increase it when you feel comfortable with it!

I walk and started off slow only to the mail box and back. Then I would walk 5 mins up the street and back. After a while I found myself walking a little more. So I guess I would only increase every couple weeks. Make sure you're wearing your oxygen and pay attention to full deep breaths.
