Daliresp is a pill that reduces mucus production. When it was first introduced, many people complained that the digestive issues they experienced made the medication not worth taking. A 250 mg dose was created to help people become accustomed to it and the 500 mg dose was prescribed later. This worked well for most people make the jump to the full 500 mg dosage. Results from a variety of studies confirmed that it worked well for many people. There is research currently exploring the question of whether Daliresp or azithromycin prescribed three days a week or every day is more effective in reducing mucus production.
