@A MyCOPDTeam Member I struggle to keep weight on and it's expensive but I drink a lot of Boost Complete because I will not go down below 100lbs! I need to get a good exercise program that I am sure will help my appetite and maybe it won't be such an effort with a better appetite. This can happen at any time, not just in the end, and weather, anxiety and depression can be a factor and the spring and summer weather may help a lot. I see on your site you have had surgery, the weather has been cold and that alone can take a long time to come back from.

I hope you have better days ahead and I'll watch for your posts.

Hi All,
People with copd have bad lungs and because of this it becomes difficult to exercise and therefore you start to put on weight .I put on weight over X-mas because I drink and eat big meals ,chocolate on the on tree in my mouth.Cheese and biscuits, lovely ham down my stomach. That’s how you get fat and over breathing is exactly the same,it feeds the copd.
Post x-mas I don’t eat any thing until 12 noon,no breakfast but cups coffee with milk and more walking with the dog and weight problem gone.Above all I breathe through my nose. Two small nasal passages are lot smaller the the big mouth I have got, this reduces the air that I breathe.,reduce the signs and symptoms of copd.
Any change in your signs and symptoms of copd it’s always best to see the doctor.
Best wishes to you all,
Kish Tura

Thanks, already have. Apparently it's a symptom of advanced COPD. Just wondered if anyone had any special ideas (I'm already eating ice cream!).
