What's On Your Holiday Wish List That Could Improve Your Life With COPD?
To have more help, support, and understanding of my condition from my daughter and grandchildren. They haven't any idea what my day to day life is like. How much energy it takes just to get dressed after my bath, or to even brush my hair and teeth.
Oh I am getting so disgusted with this site I could scream! I had a long message all typed up and poof, gone again! Anyway I just said that you shouldn't let it bother you what other people think. You have to live your life so YOU are comfortable and to heck with whatever anyone else thinks. It was hard for me not to wear my fancy neck pieces to cover up the strap and "button" I have to wear because of my laryngectomy, but this year I decided that I was just going to go out any ol' way I wanted to. I haven't been using any kind of a cover and I am so comfortable. Yes, people look at me, but they are also kinder to me than anyone has been before. I don't do anything any different than I did before, but I find that people will talk to me now when they didn't before, so just give it some time. I'm assuming you are talking about wearing oxygen when you go out? I don't know about your city, but it is getting more common every day where I live. So chin up and do your own @A MyCOPDTeam Member! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I know how it is to be alone with a serious health issue
i would love to my energy back to the days i was 25-30 and was able to walk for countless miles and not stop and catch my breath or rest.
I have requested a wife on my Christmas list. Why I waited until I was older than dirt to be interested in marriage I don't know. That is a long list and I am patient and realize that that it's very likely that it may not happen but only GOD knows what HE wants to do for us. If I don't get a chance to wish you all the best for the holiday season please allow me the chance to wish you all the best now while I can.π
