When should i start using oxygen at home?
Even though I am Stage 2 -3, my doctor suggests i use oxygen when i sleep.

We all breathe more shallowly at night and for those of us with COPD that can mean that our 02 sats go lower than most people and more often. That's why using 02 at night is a good idea just in general; if you're concerned, ask for the over night oximetry test that Michael did. That will give you andyour doc a good idea of what you should do.

I did the night oximeter test for the Dr. Found out I quit breathing for a total of 4 minuets at night. So night time oxygen is really needed, they have a reason to put you on it. you should start tonight.

Better to have the oxygen and not need it ,than need it and not have it.
Oxygen use is individual for everyone, everybody reacts to it differently.
Yes please get some oxygen ASAP good idea.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member Thank you for sharing. I guess i will have to purchase an Oxygen Concentrator very soon. I get so sleepy at around 11 a.m. and around 4 pm. Must be short on oxygen.
