Inconsistent PFT Results

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭
Bangalore

I have been periodically doing PFT to find if my lung capacity has worsened. It shows moderate most of the time. But now and then I get Perfect Okay. I don't know what must be the inference.

If you're getting regular PFTs, a doc has to be ordering them. Have you talked with the doc regarding the results you're getting? What do they say about the results? Remember the PFT results can be influenced by how good the coaching is, so who administers the test can make a difference.

A PFT is a Pulmonary Function Test......worry about the use of letters when we don't tell you what they stand for! Never be afraid to ask......the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.........🙂
