E-cigarettes ?

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I go to my friends house for a month at a time. Her husband smokes a e-cigarette in the house all the time. Do you know if this is harmful to my lungs.

I think you need to find another place to stay. You really can't be inhaling stuff that really doesn't belong in your lungs' that's how this all happened in the first place!

There’s thousands of particulate matter in the air that isn’t good for us ! In our own houses which is why we each have to are the decision including getting rid of pets ,carpets, drapes, blankets yes and those are what we can see. Make sure you walk around with an N95 mask whenever you enter the outdoors! Have a hepa filter vacume and a hepa filter air purifier and clean all filters in home weekly!Ask your friend to get rid of all those things too. Some bacteria can even break the skin barrier and get into your lungs that way! Beware life is dangerous for us everywhere! No scents or perfume . No fires or charcoal grills,no exhaust fumes,no candles ! Absolutely no travel in an airplane without N95 mask..🥴

They make (3M) N100 masks that filter all particulate matter, I agree with the candles too, the other stuff seems excessive. It really depends on the severity of your COPD and a good hepa filter in your home is beneficial.
