Actually, the vaccines have gone through all the steps necessary to indicate that they are safe and effective. All of them went through phase 1 2 3 and 4 trials, just as the FDA requires. The only question we can't answer yet is what might the long-term problems be, and we won't know about those until we get there. Meantime, most of us think living is better than dying while we wait on an answer. If you have a complicated health situation, please discuss the vaccine with your docs and follow their advice. There may be very good reasons why you either should or shouldn't have the vaccine.

As for the government flip-flopping, we all do that as we learn new things. This is a virus that we didn't know the specifics of and lots of people had differing opinions about things that changed as we learned new information. You can't expect the government to take a position and then hang on to it in the face of information that makes their stance untenable; not if you want to respect the leaders of that government. We all change our minds as we get new information. If you don't, you get left in the dust. While we're learning, I think people have to take what they learn and make the best decisions they can and then live (or die) with the consequences. I prefer not dying.

this is not a one size fits all situation/done is done. do your research and set the fear aside so you can make the right decision for you. go back and listen to the so called experts and what they said then to now.. It's the trust but verify and follow the money every single time. keep asking ?'s but trust yourself on this.
my opinion ya'll.
and I give you peace.

People who are immune challenged, like those with HIV are at the most risk, so YES you should get the vaccine ASAP. In fact, they are now suggesting that those with diseases like yours should be getting a booster now to help with their immune response. If you think copd is hard to deal with with a cannula in your nose delivering oxygen, can you even imagine how awful it would be to have even MORE trouble breathing?.......and having to go on a ventilator? The thought of that is just a horror to me. I am OK right now and not on oxygen, but I remember how awful it was to be short of breath and not being able to walk to the bathroom without assistance. The thought of not being able to breathe frightens me.......I got my vaccines as soon as I could and I will be first in line to get my booster when available to me. I am old enough to have been through mass vaccinations for smallpox and polio. I remember people being placed in Iron lungs. Those vaccines saved so many in our nation and the world from those horrible diseases. We don't see those diseases here anymore because.......vaccines work.

I also am a Christian, and believe that God DOES help us and protect us. I believe he guides the scientists and doctors to develop vaccines that save lives. He provides help....we need to take it.

Those of us with copd and other compromising ailments need to do all we can to minimize the risk of the disease that could attack our lungs.

Get the vaccine, wear a mask and disinfect your hands. Help yourself!

My pulmonologist told me to:

Get the flu vaccine for seniors
Get the pneumonia (two part) vaccine
Get the covid vaccine
Wear a mask
Isolate

I for one am following the reccommendaitons of my doctors. I encourage you to do the same.

I find it depressing that people buy into whatever somebody says even though they have no qualifications. Even if they do ,some are idiots. Trumps Navy Doc proved this. Not sure why the dumbest in class get listened to and doctors and scientists do not. What makes people think that multi millions of us are so important that anyone would want to micro chip us ??? Even if we live another 4 years only ( not true)!! There are over millions of people who wish they had another 4 years (600000 in States). Research reputable sites and sources. Use ur common sense. Unbelievable.

On the whole vaccine is very safe. Tested by millions worldwide. I know some people cannot safely have it but talk to your doctor and listen to him. Remember , everyone thought the world was flat but science evolves with more information.
