How Do You Afford Inhalers With Medicare??
I am on Incruse Ellipta and Breo Ellipta, plus Proair as an emergency and also a nebulizer when I have flare ups. I will be going on Medicare in January. Any tips on how to afford them on Medicare?
I am on medicare part A and B and have a supplemental plan that helps with medications. The most I have paid for inhalers is either $25 or $50. I have used Anoro and Breo, but I am now using Trelegy and it costs me $25 per inhaler, which is a month's worth. You need a good supplemental insurance plan to help with the costs of medications. I know that is another expense, but at the rate you are being charged for medications it may be worth it to you.

Thank you Mary, I have been looking at Medicare Advantage plans and it looks like there are some that help with the meds. The Incruse and Breo will be $47 each per month until the gap then I don't know what I will do. It gets really expensive. They work so well on me I don't want to change them. I am going to ask my doctor next week and see if there is something else but they all seem to be tier 3's which mean they will all be expensive. Thanks for the response.
Well, my Doctor said Medicare won't pay for inhalers only liquid. So, I have 4 different liquids I use with the nebulizer. I do use Ventolin inhaler, my supplement pays on it, I have to pay some. Oh, and 2 of my liquids list as $900 & $700, but I don't have to pay that!!

My Insurance (Envision) Has Breo And Spriva As Tier 4, Costing $300 = 400/month. Is There An Insurance That Pays Less?
