Is Anyone On Trelegy Ellipta And Symbicort. If So What Is The Best Time Of Day To Take Trelegy?
I use a nebulizer, trelegy and a rescue inhaler when needed.
Dr. told me to stop the symbicort. Trelegy has 3 medicines.
No need for Symbacort.
In the AM i eat breakfast, take my meds. after a hr. I use the nebulizer. Wait 1/2 hr. and do one puff off the trelegy. My lung Dr. is okay with that.
If you're taking both trelegy and symbicort, you're double dosing on both the inhaled steroid and the long acting beta agonist. You can take one or the other, but most pulmonologists wouldn't have you taking both. If you don't have a pulmonologist, this is a reason why you need one: your doc should know what the meds are supposed to do and what things make up the combinations. If a pulmonologist prescribed both meds and expects you to take both, I'd be asking some pretty pointed questions regarding why. Trelegy is a 24 hour med, so you can take it any time you want. Symbicort is a twice a day med, meant to last for 12 hours, so you take it at times that work for you.
Go to the GSK website. They will send you a card. Activate the card and Trelegy and get it for $10 dollars.
You can't be enrolled in any of the government prescription plans (medicare, medicaid, tri-care.)
Trelegy is expensive,,I pay $135 month.
