How Long Does One Have To Be On O2 (# Of Nights On) To Feel Less Tired And Such In Daytime?
Was told that sometimes low level to organs at night CAN contribute to fatigue and even SOB in daytime. I have been on O2 at night 3 nights now.
Some people feel the difference immediately and for others it takes awhile. I'd say give it a couple of weeks and if you're not feeling any better or less tired, talk with your doc. Fatigue is a symptom of many different conditions and it your COPD isn't the culprit, you'll want to find out what is. Sometimes depression and simply not getting enough exercise can make you tired, so you might want to consider both of those in your discussion. If you decide that depression is the problem, please don't just get pills, get some good counseling to help you learn how to manage and control your depression, just like you learn to manage and control your COPD. Also talk about a good daily exercise program; perhaps a Pulmonary Rehab program is possible. That will help with managing and controlling your COPD. And last, if you don't have a good pulmonologist, please get one.
Yes I have been painting cars for 35 years now on top of that smoking . So yes that is a big factor being around any type of fumes. Luckily im still working its hard.
I am on oxygen 7 nights a week, never in daytime, I feel very fortunate!
