Allergies And COPD
I get an allergic reaction to leaf mould and when I am affected I feel as though I cannot breath and have to find my .ventolin. I find it hard to get my breath well enough to ingest the ventolin vapours. Does anyone else have similar problems?
See if there's a nebulized version. That's often easier for people who have difficulty inhaling with a strong enough inhale to actually get any good from the medication. Nebulizing takes a lot longer, but you would get more of the medication.
That's odd in allergic to maple and birch trees and it doesn't bother my copd.
I also have tons of allergies and you are right. It does complicate everything. Before I use my Ventolin, I take a couple long slow breaths, concentrating on exhaling as much as I can. I use a yoga type breathing and try to use my stomach, sucking it in when exhaling and pushing it out when inhaling. It helps me to get ready to inhale sharply when I use the inhaler.
