Anoro Ellipta Atrovent And Symbicort
my new lung specialist has introduced anoro to me but has told me to stop symbicort and atrovent ,i tried this with spiriva a couple of years ago and became rapidly worse so im not going to risk it again does anyone understand why or is it a cost cutting exercise of new zealand.Thank you everyone
With the Symbicort you're getting a Long Acting Beta Agonist (LABA) and an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and the Atrovent is a Short Acting Beta Agonist (SABA). With the Anoro, you'll get the LABA and a Long Acting Muscarinic Agent (LAMA, in the same class of med as Spiriva). What you might miss is the ICS. My guess is that your doc wants to see if you can manage with one med instead of two and once a day (all good things for you if they work). In your shoes, I would give it a try and see what happens. If it doesn't work, you can always go back to the tried and true. What I would suggest is that if/when your doc wants to change your meds, you ask for a good explanation of why and what she expects to happen with this change. Remind her that this is your decision and you'd like enough information to be able to make an informed decision.
I tried Anoro Ellipta, but it didnt make any difference to me, the only one that helps me a little is Brimica.

No i havent its covered in nz under special authority so is subsidised down to $5
Is There A Link Between Using Anoro And Coughing All Night?
Has Anyone Else Switched From Symbicort To Anora?
