Does Anyone Use Trelegy Ellipta
Actually, Trelegy is a three in one med: an anticholinergic (like [[treatment:Spiriva):54b5b29f860875a43a00013b]]), a long acting beta agonist (a bronchodilator) and an inhaled corticosteroid. The person who posted that the Trelegy included everything in Advair and Spiriva is exactly right. What she didn't say is that Advair contains both the bronchodilator and the inhaled steroid. The advantage of the Trelegy clearly is one med once a day.
I began taking it about a week ago. My doctor changed me from Anoro to Trelegy. So far I like it....no problems.
I have several friends who are using the Trelegy and like it; longest has taken it about two and a half months. Finds it a cost saving over the three she was using before.
I used for about 65 days and yes it does take the place of Advair and Spiriva. I took Advair and Spiriva for about 10 years and I was hoping one of the newer meds would work but looks like I was on the best for me. Everyone is different. As har as still being able to use your new I don't know because I never use one.and it's supposed to be ok to use the rescue inhaler (in my case it's Ventolin) but when I used it with Trellegy it made my breathing worse. I just don't think Trellegy was enough for me to be the absolute only thing to use every 24 hrs.
I would like to know how other patients get along with their inhalers and what they use.
Hope this helps.
on my 3rd month - only side effect is i go hoarse off and on..i find it easy to use as well ..one puff once a day...
