I Just Started Oxygen Therapy 4 Days Ago .

2ltrs 24-7 and after 2 days i noticed my ankles were swollen anyone else have this problem and is it because i just started using it?? Thanks much

@A MyCOPDTeam Member Not being a Doctor I would hazard a guess and say that the use of oxygen is not the cause of swollen ankles. Perhaps seeing your Doctor would be a wiser choice.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member Salt, blood pressure, swollen limbs while only a Doctor can answer for sure cutting bac on salt will help some for sure. Give the oxygen some time to stabilize drinking water helps some in modest amounts. Learning how to cope with panic a must take care, you have your team here!

Have you called your Dr. yet @A MyCOPDTeam Member? I’m not sure of your age but this isn’t something you should just ignore. If I’m remembering correctly if left unchecked, you could give your self your very first heart attack, you might not make it out alive these days!

Agreed, you retain fluid because of too much salt, or it’s a sign that could be pointing towards your heart, you do need to see your Dr. and in the mean time prop your feet up. Call your Dr.
