Pursed lip breathing is the best on hand non-invasive method available to you. Although breathing is the main way to get rid of carbon dioxide, it is not the only way. If carbon dioxide is brought into your body through your esophagus -- the tube that leads to your stomach -- instead of through your trachea, or windpipe, you can't get rid of it through breathing. If you consume carbon dioxide, such as that found in soda, you may expel CO2 by burping. Sometimes, you swallow air when you’re eating, which contains some carbon dioxide. This air can either be burped out or you may pass it out of your body with flatulence. Beans, onions, cauliflower, eggs and other fibrous foods can also contribute to an increase in gasses being released, but that's not all CO2. Contact a doctor if you have concerns about the amount of burps and flatulence you produce.

Pursed Lip Breathing is the breathing technique that is used to blow off CO2. If you start PLB BEFORE you start your activity, like exercise, and continue to do it throughout, you'll increase the time before you get really short of breath and have to slow down or stop to recover. Bi-Pap or Trilogy machines are prescribed if PLB won't do the trick on a regular basis.

Are you sleeping with your oxygen concentrator? They ran some tests on me in the beginning and my carbon dioxide levels were too high while sleeping thus the oxygen usage at night if you have oxygen at home you might try that. It certainly helped with the headaches associated with too much cd in your system.
