@A MyCOPDTeam Member... I asked both my Doctor and my Respirologist about these devices and they both said they are just Quackery... I took their advice and just try to get the mucous up however I can Taking a wooden spoon and to light tapping on your back in your lung areas helps a little... Take care...

Google Home Remedies for Bronchitis and maybe you will find other things that help relieve excess mucus. Home remedies for chronic bronchitis is a good query to enter to learn about other helpful things.

There are a number of similar devices on the market: Aerobika, flutter valve, etc. There are also vibrating vests. The whole idea is to help bring up the mucous from the lungs, thus making breathing easier. This one is pretty much the same thing as the others, and which one works best for whom is always a question. If getting rid of mucous is a problem for you, then you might be inclined to try it. Just a word of advice: these things don't work for everyone, so you probably need to be careful in your choices.

I don't know anything about the Aerosure, but I do know something about the Aerobika device. It works along the same way as the Aerosure. Might I suggest you Google the Aerobika, read everything on the website and I hope you get information to your liking. I learned about it at Better Breathers Club meeting, a support group sponsored by the American Lung Association. They had a guest speaker that was a respiratory therapist that had one and what he had to say impressed me enough I had to have one., there was also another person in the group that has COPD and has one of the devices. She believes in it and has helped keep her out of the hospital. I have stage 11 COPD and my pulmonary doctor said my COPDF wasn't bad enough for me to need one. The supplier had to have a prescription so I got my GP doctor to write it.

If you want to try something, go to drug store and buy some Ni-quill with mucus remover' it will work mas good as anything else and if you follow directions, won't be harmful, but may help get rid of mucus.
