The Flu And COPD
I am only just getting over the flu after 4 weeks, what would normally take me 3 days to get over.
With CODP, at times I thought I was a gonner. Hardly any energy to even blow my nose to clear it for oxygen.
Any advice for future ?
First of all do everything you can to get in the best shape possible. The better you are when you get sick the less time it will take to get over things. Talk with your doc about an exercise program and then get started even though you still feel less than good. The quicker you get started on a program, the better you'll feel.
Same here brother any kind of sign of infection and I grab my antibiotics and I am clear of infections Dorothy Hartlepool UK 🇬🇧
I find that having a antibiotic & prednisone at home I can start on them when I know I have contracted a germ. This saves time and does not allow the germs to beat up my immune system ! As a result I am generaly able to fight off a bug within 3 to 5 days.
I have a yearly flu jab also a 5 yearly pneumonia jab and touch wood to date no flu bouts or serious chest infections ...although when my 5 years is nearly up on my pneumonia jab I start suffering again more so definitely worth a try IMO and experience ..hope this helps
Get a flu shot every year. Small children, crowds, and airplanes are all Petri dishes for bacteria. Get plenty of fresh air, healthy food and exercise.
