Spasms
I am having a horrible time with pain and spasms, iny back, arms, shoulders and neck. Does anyone know if this is a copd symptom.
This is a typical issue with COPD. My physician prescribed a low dose of pain killer and a low dose of muscle relaxant. I don't like taking them, just in case I need to drive some where. I have however discovered a solution called Pure CBD. It is an oil made from the majayornia (spelling?) plant. It has been extracted where there no proprities which makes a person high. Sorta a bad taste, but does some good. Just put 15 drops under the toungue then swallow it. Instant pain relief and a short period of relief from breathing issues. At least it works for me, This is non-habit forming as well.
Spasms@ Like I have said in the past I have many of the issues you describe I have talked to many people that have been on similar pain relief programs such as I have been having , I have also been talking to my GP and we were talking about one of the potential culprits as being Tramadol which is an opiate drug which I have been suspecting has been the route of my problems in this area, However my GP on Friday on reading all of my reports and has said that they recently have taken me off that particular drug and put you on a different drug about two weeks ago as they believe that may well change things for the better and that she would be much happier if we give this a bit of time too settle down and then review it in about 8 weeks or so and then take it from there. As I am not doctor or a GP I had to agree with her so we will see what this trial if I can call it that works. And that is how I have left it. look to the sun and feel its warmth to know that you are alive and well so breath easy one day at a time.
Yes, I would say it is a symptom. I get spasms all the time.Drinking more water helps. If your COPD is severe then you know you can't exercise. Going to the bathroom is a workout.
When I go online research COPD these aches in these areas are common. Mostly because we use these muscle area in excess when we cough so much from the disease. We really don't realize the pressure we put out in each cough. Drink lots of water! No soda. Soda not good for COPD. Can give more mucus in lungs. If must have...small amount and infrequently.
