You need to get an oximeter so you can keep track of it yourself. If your O2 sats are right up there, your problem is too much CO2. You need to use Pursed Lip Breathing to help blow off the CO2 and make room for O2. Turning up your O2 will do no good at all, and could do harm. If your sats are below 88, turn your O2 up.

If you don't have an oximeter you should conside getting one. Do some deep breathing exercises. Breath in deep and use purse lip breathing to exhale. While exhaling push push push because there is a lot more air in the lungs than we realize. This makes more room for air and CO2. CO2 Is the carbon dioxide in our lungs. So use that exhlale/purse lip as much as possible. Bereatheasy my friend.

When tested for my oxygen Pulse ox it is always 97. They make me do exercise for ten minutes and take my pulse ox which remains 97 without oxygen on. They can see how short of breath I am. I heard this company will take my oxygen if my pulse ox is not down to 80, pretty scared since they will be testing again next month. I will end up in the hospital without oxygen for sure and get it there.

I also know for sure when Im short of breath and have the pulse ox machine. I use oxygen all night, and when I go outdoors. My problem is my pulse ox at home and the doctors office always reads 97 to 99. At the present time my oxygen is paid for by my insurance company. Problem is every 3 months they send someone from the insurance office to check my pulse ox and even on exercise it stays at the same level 97 to 99 and the nurse can clearly see Im short of breath. Anyone know why this happens. Im due in May to be rechecked, and cant do without my oxygen. I live in Dunedin, Florida. Thanks so much and God Bless. Im 67 years of age and smoked since a teen, but quit smoking a long time ago.
