Does Anyone Know If It's Ok To Take Combivent Respimat And Qvar Together For Maintenance?
Just FYI .... I happened to come across this web site that breaks down interactions of drugs you are taking, very informative.

It is, although Combivent is just a four hour med, and sometimes used as a rescue med rather than a maintenance med. Spiriva respimat is the 24 hour version of basically the same medication. Qvar is an inhaled steroid (ICS). Typically one would find a combination of a Long Acting Beta-2 Agonist (LABA) and steroid (ICS) such as Advair or Symbicort prescribed along with Spiriva (Long Acting Anticholinergic or LAMA). The combination of Combivent and Qvar would mean that meds would need to be taken several times a day rather than just once or twice.
It would be worth asking your doc why those two meds rather than the longer acting ones.
I take the sprivia inhalent of the pill form and it works great for me i am well pleased with it..breathe easy
Thank you so much Jean for your comment. I will check with my doctor about getting Spiriva.
