Having Part Of My Lung Removed

I got my results back from my Pet scan... and now they want to operate and take out 1/2 of my left lung....has anyone had that done?

knew many people that had it done some did better then others? that is mostly because a few were stupid and would not stop smoking even after that, but keep your stress low, take walks, do not smoke, and eat foods and drink Juice that will help your lungs Pineapple is one of the best to clear your lungs

Had 2 operations on my hand this past year. Know that is short time out. Said I have copd they said OK that was that.

I hag the lower lobe removed because of a carcinoid tumor in 2002. They do have better ways to do it now, more options. I suggest you get second opinion and research the different ways they can do it without being so invasive. Good luck and hope you let me know how things go. I was 43 at the time.
