Hi, Is Anyone Using Nintedanib Or Pirefenidone To Treat Their Ideopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis?
Thanks. I am being referred to the only Hospital in the east of England who are allowed to use these newly licensed drugs. Hope I get lucky.
I don't have IPF, but the research on both those treatments is positive. In a majority of patients, exacerbations were reduced and some of the progressive aspects of the disease were slowed down. If you have it and are offered these meds, they're the best hope there is at the moment short of a lung transplant. I'd take them in a heartbeat if I had the disease.
