Bleach is extremely toxic to the environment and toxic for our lungs. It stays in the air long after it is used so dont let your cleaning lady use it either. I use a pint of vinegar, 1 cub of water & 30 drops of Eucalyptus oil,(it has antiseptic properties) in a spray bottle for countertops, etc. . I use baking soda to clean the sink. If you have heavy duty cleaning use borax sparingly, mild soap flakes for laundry.

as far as bleach is conserned, the smell is strong, I use bleach tablets and use one when needed. leave the tablet in the bowl, the next time it is used, the tablet has dissolved, and that also saves me carrying a bottle of bleach around.

I have this problem of being much more sensitive to smells of all kinds since my last flareup in February. No candles in our house or deodorizers, We clean the toilets and everything else with vinegar, It doesn`t hurt the lungs, That was told to me by a respiratory therapist in the hospital. Hope this helps

I always thought ehhhhhhh, how could this or that smell be a big deal. WELL....deoderant, air freshener, even barbecue, wood burning, I CANNOT tolerate any or much smells at all anymore.......I cannot wear a perfume or cologne, can't even stand the smell on others or in the same room..........I can't breathe
