When One Uses Higher Oxygen Number Does It Cause One To Be Oxygen Saturated?
only if it was prescribed by a pulmonary doctor otherwise i would stay on the number he or she prescribed and i would consult the doctor on that question
@MyCOPDTeam users... and @A MyCOPDTeam Member I soooo agree with @A MyCOPDTeam Member we are not to be messing with the level of oxygen unless our pulmonary doctor tells us toooooo!!!!! Oxygen is a drug and @A MyCOPDTeam Member should be consulting her doctor.....
Thanks for the info.
I'm really not sure exactly what you're asking, because you always have some percentage of O2 saturation. If you didn't, you'd be dead. You measure saturation levels with an oximeter. If your saturation is lower than 88 and you increase the flow of O2 (usually by turning the dial up to a higher number or pushing a higher number), that should increase your O2 saturation levels. The only way to know whether it works for you is to use an oximeter.
It this doesn't help, perhaps you could state your question.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member talk to your doctor and see if he says increase you #.... it is a big WARNING in my book, you do not change the # unless your doctor tells you to.....have a good one....Love and God bless....
