Do You Suffer From RIB SPASMS?

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Those debilitating rib spasms some of us suffer from are NOT in our head. Some of us have had Health Professionals look at us like we had three heads when trying to explain the symptoms to them. A facebook site: COPD Community gathered info for us concerning this. Check out the link to let you know YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Hope you breathe easy today my friends!

I explained my spasm like the pain you get in legs, Charlie Horses sure do hurt a lot.. Also asked if drinking enough water. I walk, I do peddling and floor exercise. Use foam roller on my back and legs.

I drink Tonic water each night before heading to get ready for bed. It contains quinine 20mg. which helps my leg cramps and hopefully work on stomach more. The muscle stomach cramps actually take my breath away. I mean many do look at you like your head is double.

It is very frustrating having leg cramps and charley horses as well as rib spasms. Only a few members of my family know how sick I really am. I hibernate on bad days and tell anyone who wants me to go out that I have an appointment. I go to bed at 10:00 p.m., get up for at least an hour at 2:00 a.m., go back to sleep until 6:00 a.m., go back to sleep until 8:00 a.m. This is because of my pain level and horrible leg cramps.

Thank you so much for sharing this information. I get those spasms also and they are very painful. I can go months without having any spasms and then I start having them multiple times a day, it doesn't matter what I am doing when they hit. They are scary, glad to know that I am definitely not alone with this ailment.
