Your gp may not be your best choice here. If he responds by sending you for a spirometry or Pulmonary Function Test, that's a good sign that he knows something about COPD. If he doesn't, or tries to poo-poo the ct scan findings, I would ask for a referral to a pulmonologist. You deserve to know for sure whether you have anything to worry about.
