What Can I Do About A Cough That I Have?
First of all, talk with your doc to be sure that the cough is chronic and has something to do with COPD. It may not; could be related to GERD or to taking some blood pressure medications. If it's related to COPD, ask him what you should do. It really matters if the cough is dry or productive as to what treatments would be appropriate. In order to decide what to do, you need to give your doc a chance to figure out why you have a cough.
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. "Acid reflux" or "heartburn". It sometimes goes hand in hand with COPD and is the culprit in coughing. Talk with your doc about that. If you're seeing a GP or Family Practice doc, find a pulmonologist who understands COPD well.
