Taking a shower, while we all love a hot shower, the old lungs just want to shut down!!! The humidity is to heavy for the lungs to make air.... I found, getting a box fan, and setting it to blow air on me, while taking my shower, has given me a great time in showering, if you can leave your bath room door open,,,, you can get thru a good shower... The fan moves that humidity out , you can breath... Took me 14 years to come up with that idea..... I'm passing it on

God bless you all,,, have a great shower..... Enjoy

Boy do I understand that, I've tried a lot of things in the past years, what I finally came up with, is,,,, I took two big long heavy bath towels, and sewed about two inches at the top, on each corner.. Making them, so I could just stick my head thru the hole, allowing one towel lot fall over my back, the other over my front, , when I go to get out of the shower, just body movement, will dry the moisture from 90% of your old body.
Then I came up with putting a box fan in my bath room, while showering, it removes the humidity, and keeps your old body cool,, allowing you to breath, then I found a shower bench, to set on, not having to move much, could breath, and let the water run over me, with just enough warm water to enjoy the shower,,
Last thing I've had to do, is I got me some those loose fitting shorts, and wear them while taking a shower, I have a friend scrub my back, and chest, so I'm not using my arms, and loosing breath... It has taken me years, to finally be able to shower, a good long one, with out the fear of that panic.... After my shower, I drop my shorts, put the towel over my head, set for a few seconds, to allow the old body to slow down, get up, wipe my feet on long towel, as I get out, then set on stool, let the fan blow me dry... Don't have to work hard, and come out breathless... It sure beats, trying to keep clean, using a wash rag, in sponge baths..

I hope this might help, it's made my showering a wonderful way to go.
God bless you,,,have a great shower

Showering & dressing for the day takes most of my energy in the AM. I do things separately like I take a shower then I have to catch my breath, then I get dressed slowly. Then more coffee.......

I have to turn the A/C down, as in AZ we don't have cold water coming out of the cold faucet, during the warm weather. I don't need to turn the hot water on at all. I use the exhaust fan, leave the door open and wear my cannula for oxygen. I, also, have a built-in bench in the shower. Sometime I can't wash my hair in the shower, so I do that in the kitchen sink. You do what you're able to do.

We have to move for our old worn out bodies, I have help in taking a shower, I set on a stool, and allow my friend to scrub my old back, leaving the shower curton open on both ends, allowing air to flow thru the shower, to keep heat from building up, just allowing my body heat to come up thru the towel, will cause me to become heavy lung, and difficult to breath, and just getting out of the shower, makes me have to play catch up, with my oxygen, and it's set on 3 liters..... Taking a shower is one of the most difficult tasks to accomplish...... God bless all of you
