You may be dealing with other issues like GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) Please see your doctor. and keeping head of bed up helps. sorry this comment is 9 mos late.

Sounds more like heartburn or gerd.. take tums, galvenston or something for a night or two and see if it helps. Also check with doctor
