I Am On Oxygen 24/7 When My Oxygen Drops Into The 80's I Lose Control Of My Bladder. Does Anyone Else Have A Problem With This?
It is not at all unusual for people to have difficulty with bladder control when your O2 saturation dips below 88. The brain automatically funnels the available O2 to critical functioning areas and the bladder isn't one of them: things like brains take precedence. If you don't want to lose bladder control, use your O2 all the time.

I am forty, and have been fighting bladder problems due to COPD for the better part of a decade. I have Alpha One, which causes extremely early onset COPD. I looked for a long time for hope of some sort of bladder correction procedure, but to no avail. The only way to keep this from happening is to either not have COPD, or get a catheter. Ugh. Hopefully soon I will be able to get a transplant and this won't be an issue any longer. But until then, I use generic Poise pads.
Unfortunately, I wear a pad ALL the time. Have for several years now. :(
my doctor is old school....he says too much O2 is as bad as not enough! But between us and the wall, when I mob my floors, or run the sweeper, I turn it to 5! lol
I loose control also. The Doctor gave me pills, but then I had a hard time going at regular times, lol. My O2 drops on 3 lts at times, which is all the higher my Doctor recommends turning it up to, any suggestions on that?
