Oxygen Tubing

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭
Waynesboro, VA

I live in a two story house, so I have 50 feet of tubing following me around. This allows me to go upstairs, but it is always tangeling up and it is very annoying. Any suggestions?

Use 2: 1 for downstairs and 1 for upstairs. Leave upstairs inplace.

Hyla, I bought it and I absolutely love it. I also bought the 02 control, which eliminates gettin up and down to switch 02 levels. That was 7.50. Best thing I've bought in a long time. I don't know why the 02 providers don't use them, and, the people I spoke with were so pleasant. Hugs

My concentrator sits at the bottom of the stairs, so the 50 feet will reach both up and down, but I have no answer for the tangling - I just chalk it up as extra exercise when I have to go back and get it "unhung" off whatever catches it. My four year old grandson stays with me during the day and he helps me out tremendously. He doesn't mind searching out the culprit!

It's called Softhose.com I ordered some and it is great . In comes on 25 or 50 ft. They will also fit one to any size you want. I also got some Cannulas. They are so soft. These are made by Thompson Engineering . They are not expensive. I learned about them here from team member Hyla .

There is a company called Soft Tube, made by an engineering company. If you google it, you will find a new type of hose. It is flat , and guaranteed not to twist.. I ordered it and have not received it, so I really don't have any answers. It was inexpensive, 50feet, I also ordered a gadget for 7.50 that attaches to your tubing, up by the cannula, and you can adjust your oxygen level without getting up. So we shall see, this was referred by a friend. There are also small swivels so you can use your own cannula. Seems pretty cut and dry to me. I thnk the cast of all of it came to 45.00 good luck
