I think it's just the O2 air hitting those sensitive mucous membranes. A lot of times my nose will run for hours. Very inconvenient. Whatever it is, don't use Vaseline. That's petroleum jelly and is flamable. K Y Jelly only!

No sweetie. I turned it down fom 4 lpm to 3.5 lpm. I agree, I would be a gonner if I did that. Last night my oxygen fell out and I woke up choking to death. Don't know for how long I ewnt without it, but I was a mess. Took me an hour to get myself back to normal, whatever that is. I think it was out for about 4 hours. Thanks for caring, special hugs to you

Sorry just want to add something else, my Pulmo believes all Infections start in the nose and I use Salex which you mix the powder with a saline solution and squirt it in your one nostril, then the other, it is really disgusting and comes out the other nasal passage and your mouth, but it works and you would be surprised at the rubbish that comes out your nasal passages. Sorry I know it sounds terrible but just thought it might help you.

I get random nose bleedswhen i'm blowing my nose. my case mgr at pulmo rehab said it's one of the side effects of using oxygen and the pharmacist said to use ARY Gel you can put a little in your nostrals before putting on your cannula and it helps with the nose bleeds just don't but a whole lot in your nostral just a tad it worked for me it also helps out with the mucus membrains drying out in your nose too.hope this helps.

Thanks all, I do have a humidifier attached to my concentrater. Guess I'm just extre dry like Sean Connery!s martini, speaking of which,....just kidding, I've only had one in my life. Never could figure out why everyone loves them so much. The olive was good. Now, give me a White Russian, and it's a whole different story. Again, thanks for the tips. Nosebleeds have subsided since we turned down that 02 a half liter. Hugs to all.
