well. Dr wants me to take another pack of Azithromycin. Does this sound like proper treatment? Thank you.

Thanks for the follow-up. I have not seen many complaints about ZITHRO but there are some other meds which should not taken at the same time with IT. Alternate timing would at least be better. Google can confirm this too.

I have an Rx on call for two different antibiotics at the local pharmacy. My DOC trusts me and gives me the choice to switch off based on past experience. The secret with ZITHRO is that it helps break up the mucus even if there is no bacteria to actually fight off! Don't forget the EXTRA H2O! It's on the instruction list!
Keep up the Good fight!

Thank you. I did a Covid test right away and don’t want to get it. I’m just nervous about the meds and can’t see my dr for another week. I thought this would be a good source to turn to,

Hi Elly2. Just a COPD guy here, NAD (Not a Doctor)! Your are wise to be cautious about an ER visit in your community, but consider the upside: IF you too have also been exposed to COVID, you may not want to be the last one in the Exam room either 🤔!

Here's my suggestion: Take a COVID self test - ASAP.!! IF it is NEGative, follow your Doc's course of treatment with some extra, extra Water.

If not, make sure the ER knows about your COPD FIRST and ensure the ER Doac and the Primary Doc has the Pulmonary Doc's phone number on speed dial!
be Well.

My pulmonary doc has me on Azithromycin as a prevented med I have to take every 3 days. So far it seems to be helping. If your symptoms are severe you may need to be seen by an ER or Urgent care. I know these feelings are scary so don't put it off if you're not doing better soon.

I hate to go to ER as Covid is very high here. Does taking Azithromycin for 10. days vs the usual 5 days sound reasonable? I’m not sure what to do..
