I Use A Nebulizer 4-5 Times A Day. I Still Get Very Short Of Breath. Anyone Else Using One, And On A Medication......what Do You Take?
RSV is a respiratory disease and would undoubtedly cause an increase in respiratory symptoms. Expect that it will take time, maybe up to four to six months, to get over all the symptoms and get back to your "normal". Understand that a good exercise program done daily will help enormously and shorten the time by a lot.
I'm assuming that you're nebulizing albuterol and not some other medication. Using it more than four times a day is not usually recommended, though your pulmonologist might have done that. Talk with your pulmonologist about other meds that might make a difference. Depending on where you are in the progression of the disease, there will be some. If you're not seeing a pulmonologist, you need to find one. Most PCPs aren't familiar enough with the meds available to be much help.
Use a nebulizer in the morning and again at night; my meds are Formoterol Fumarate to dialate bronchial tubes and Budesonide is a steroid. The Formoterol is long acting and last 12 hours. My spO2 is always 97 to 98, however, I am always short of breath.
