I Use A Nebulizer Treatment 4-5 Times A Day. Does Anyone Else Use One And Also Has Something Else That Helps.....if So What?
Yes I do. And my treatments are 4 times a day right along with an inhaler twice a day.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member As Roland said it takes time but it can be a savings if on medicare with a good part G suppliment. Or good insurance. It all falls under durable medical goods on part B instead of part D prescription drugs. I copied and pasted this from another reply I made about O2 and hose. Hope It helps. If your oxygen is prescribed. your supplier should include tubing and cannulas. The suggested is not more than 50 feet from the home concentrator but I just increase the flow by 1/2 a ltr and add to 100 feet. I can walk all the wat to my mail box from the house. Also all over my back yard. I don't have a problem with the tubing for the most part. I change it out about every 3 or 4 months. I change the cannula every week. The hose, couplings and cannulas are part of the equipment rental from the supplier. I have used Lincare sense I was diagnosed in 2009. They can be a problem at times but they are nation wide if you travel. They provide my home unit and my bottled O2. By the way if you are on medicare this is all covered under part B and hopefully you have a good part G supplement so you only have the 226 annual deductible is all you pay. Same goes for you nebulizer and the meds you use in it. All under part B for durable medical. I use a neb. 5 times a day instead of the expensive inhalers that you pay high dollars for. my nebs are 1 albuterol 2 budisonide 2 perforomist and 1 yupelri. I start my day with a double. I do the Alb. and 1 of the budisonide.
Hope this is helpful. Remember to always confer with your pulmonologist.
Almost every med we are prescribed comes in a nebulized form. Some are up to four times a day and others are nebulized once or twice a day. You need to know what meds you're nebulizing and whether it's once, twice or four times a day. Also if you MUST take it twice a day or UP TO four times a day is very important. Some nebulized med are prescribed absolutely and others can be as needed, and you need to know the difference. Nebulized meds are often prescribed when the person doesn't have the inspiratory strength to use an inhaler successfully.
No I don't. All I have is an inhaler that I take 2puffs twice a day.
