I have had tinnitus in one ear since 1995 due to a car accident...it went away after six months...then the following year I fell on a slippery board hidden in a pile of leaves, hit my head on the concrete, and the tinnitus came back and has never left...Strange but when I'm reading a book...I don't notice the noise, or when I shower...

Thought it was not related but worth asking.

Yes, I knew it was not related to COPD.Had it for more than 20 years--sharp penetrating and loud, got worse since last flare. Never changes tone , don't hear any my music etc.Just a little age related hearing loss. Sometimes if I am interested in something I forget it about it for a short time. Reading is when it drives me bonkers. More in my head than in my ears.

I have had tinnitus for 20 years or more. Nothing to do with copd. I have just learned to deal with it. Dial out the noise
