Why does the use of prednisolone make the skin thinner and is there a way to sort the problem out

You can't do anything about the skin thinning issue that prednisone aggravates. Our skin thins naturally as we age, you can inherit thin skin from your parents at an earlier age than normal, and prednisone just makes those things worse. It just is what it is.

Glad I said no to prednisolone. I checked a little into stem cell but it was $8000.00 dollars and it is experimental so non is covered by insurance. Would love to hear if anything has changed.

Everyone is different prednisone the so called miracle drug cousin to cortisone has never been the same ea time I'm on it,and that's been over the last 20 yr.
Its damaged my eyesite(glaucona) deterates the bones u burn out of your skin or move mountains depending on the dosage.
Talk to your Dr thin skin goes with aging and there are creams that help,
But as long as u take it there will be side effects , It works its kept me alive more than once butttt theres a price that goes with it.
I hope this helps.
